Today, i decided to update my language packs. You know that i provide language packs for both Turkish and Arabic interfaces of DotNetNuke Community Edition. However, today i wasted a lot of time because of bad structured manifest file.

To create a language pack you can either use Host > Extensions or Admin > Languages options. I decided to go with Host > Extensions as it was easy to customize manifest file.

I decided to use a custom manifest file. DotNetNuke generated a one for me. Reviewing this manifest file, i noticed that it wasn't well formed. I had to digg in and modify start and end tags for strings.

Finally i was able to create my custom language pack for DotNetNuke 5.2.2.

I'm going to release DotNetNuke 5.2.2 Core Turkish Language Pack tomorrow. Once i finish creating language packs for DotNetNuke 5.2.2 i will jump to process of creating language pack of DotNetNuke 5.2.2 Arabic locale.
