After weeks of beta testing,
DotNetNuke 5.1.0 released. According to Joe Brinkman, this release represents the future of the DotNetNuke platform and is now officially
recommended for production use. I know that DotNetNuke Core Team did a great job like always and i am very impressed with new features. Although i found some minor problems with new release i don't think it will create breaking changes for your environment.
Here are some of new feature highlights:
- Content Versioning and simple workflow to the HTML module.
- Admin Console module simplifies access to administrator and host pages
- Publicly accessible skin engine lifecycle events
- Audit trails to core system tables
- Built in support for Google Analytics
- Custom sitemap priorities for SEO
- Custom Permission Providers
- Caching Optimization
- Upgrade Optimization for .NET Framework v3.5
- Module Usage Count Enhancements
- Web Farm optimization.
- Support for multiple Scheduler instances
