In order to download
DotNetNuke you should create a
user account first.
Browse
DotNetNuke homepage.
Register a user account with a valid email.

After filling form and submitting Register button you will be able to see packages under Downloads page.
Scroll down at
downloads page to see available releases.
Let me explain the differences between releases.
Install Release: If you are installing DotNetNuke for the first time, i recommend using this release. Useful for localization, testing and publishing website schemes.
Source Release: If you need to view & modify source code of DotNetNuke files, have a look at this release.
Upgrade Release: In case you have a running DotNetNuke installation that has an old release, consider upgrading your portal with Upgrade packages.
Docs: Helpful about DotNetNuke installation. I also recommend
Documentation section of
DotNetNuke portal.
In this tutorial, i am going to use
Install package. After clicking it from list you will be redirected to
Codeplex repository where DotNetNuke packages are stored for public access. You will be asked to
accept an agreement before download. Simply read license notes and click to
I Agree button.
Save
DotNetNuke_05.00.00_Install.zip package to a folder on your desktop. (e.g
C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Desktop\Downloads)
