Would you like to share your hosting experience for your DotNetNuke portals?
I have used Godaddy, DiscountASP and a few other small ranked hosting firms to host my DotNetNuke installations. I also had to use other plans for my clients.
So far, i can say that Godaddy is one of the cheapest solution to host your own DotNetNuke portal with a shared hosting plan.
However Godaddy does not support any third party installation with shared hosting purchases. But once you learn it, i believe you will get used to it.
My experience with DiscountASP was not good at first try. Maybe it was because that i was not that good with DotNetNuke that time. But, to host a ASP.NET application with DiscountASP.NET i had to purchase SQL Database space which means extra payment to hosting provider.
As far as i know PowerDNN is one of the best DotNetNuke Hosting solution for DotNetNuke users, but i am going to complain about the database and disk space they provide. Compared to Godaddy none of the other hosting solutions provide huge bandwith, disk space and database space.
I also hosted one of my video portals with EasyCGI. To be honest, i was not happy or unhappy, i think i got what i paid for from EasyCGI.
